Purposely Different
They're not quite renderings, not quite cartoons. There's obviously formal training involved, but there's also a unique style. Don Greeson's paintings marry nostalgia with whimsy, cheat formal perspective, and feature a specific subject or story... all to bring a smile to the observer's face.
Don’s themes are often playful and mischievous, and he uses not-so-subtle devices to achieve a universal recognition. Many of his subjects are timeless and serve as a tribute to imagination and fun.
